Lunch and dinner all you can eat dim sum. Shown is the lunch menu without the sashimi category which is only available at dinner (and possibly weekends). We have always been very pleased with the food and service. I learned today that they do not serve coffee however, the Caesar special at lunch made up for it. Note that they have daily drink specials. 1/2 priced wine on Wednesday is a great deal.

Delicious food, very fast table service. We love the concept of ordering food from the tablets as you go.. Sometimes you see something delicious going to another table and decide to give it a shot. Lost one star only because we had some very undercooked teriyaki steak come to the table today.

don't even bother making a reservation day(s) ahead. they won't follow it. gave them my reservation info and they told me I have to wait another hour. what? if you don't have time slots available don't confirm/okay a time with me. inconsiderate and unprofessional.they basically first-come-first serve when you enter the door. on top of that, the food quality and variety is lacking compared to other locations.I suggest the August 8 location on Wilson, I hear the owner works there and so everything's better- organized, good food quality and variety of dishes.

Sent my friend there for a celebratory lunch, and she was greeted by someone who was completely hostile. Put his hand in her face, despite COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Told her that they would bring lunch out, and then neglected to do so. Food was sitting on a table waiting for her to pick up for 10 minutes. Didn't give us extra soy sauce (as asked), spicy mayo (as asked), packed sushi rolls SO TIGHTLY that we cannot get them out of the box. The machine forces you to tip, even though she didn't want to due to the level of service. So dissapointed. Won't go here again

I celebrated my nomination today in this excellent restaurant. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a brilliant evening and the place was definitely the reason for the fruitful event. The team participated in a gorgeous way, the cuisine was delicious and my guests were so delighted. We shall definitely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

The food and certain staff members are good. They do their jobs well. However, whoever manages the reservation system needs to improve. I’ve been repeatedly waiting over 30 minutes even with a reservation. I hope some day the staff realize a reserved seating is supposed to be kept ready for the diners.Train your staff to keep calm under pressure. Whenever there is a large wait (and the staff are in a rush for service), the current hostess tells the same parties extremely inaccurate wait estimates. It’s almost as if she’s saying a random answer to stop conversation with the customer. At first it’s 20 minutes of wait estimate, then 5 minutes later it’s 40 minutes of wait estimate.

Excellent restaurant for sushi buffet. They have a huge menu with plenty of options for everyone - even those who don't like sushi. The staff were all friendly. Food came out quickly. Plates were cleared quickly. Prices are on par with other buffet style restaurants. They DO NOT accept debit, only cash and Visa/Mastercard. There is an ATM onsite that only charges $0.95, but it is very annoying to have to do this.I recommend both lunch and dinner. Lunch has a slightly smaller menu.

One of the best sushi places in Hamilton, service is quick, sushi are good, price is reasonable. They have all you can eat, same price as everywhere else. Quality is really good and they also have private booths which are great for dates. Will be back and will bring friends :) getting hungry just thinking about this place. P.S. Free parking is also available.

Went for dinner about a week ago for patio dining. Food was very good, however, upon arriving we were told we had an hour and a half to eat before the next reservation for our table, then after about an hour, the waitress told us we had 10 minutes left and it was time to start ordering desert. A bit unorganized in terms of times and tables but the food was tasty as usual

I was not impressed at all. We came at lunch time around 3 but we paid for dinner to get more variety. Things I didn't like:Extremely slow service.Overfried everything.Food quality is way below average.We had sushi salmon coming without salmon and we didnt think salmon was fresh because it had a different taste and felt slimy. I really hope I'm wrong. I do love August 8 just a different location, for example Burlington!

The food was delicious, the servers are amazing, but the hostess WAY underestimated the wait time for our table. I realize we went at the busiest time on a Saturday night without a reservation, but we waited an hour when she told us it would be "at least 25 minutes". She didn't lie, but we would have tried somewhere else if she had given us a realistic wait time.

Walked in not knowing it was all you can eat. The iPad ordering took a bit of set up, different but pretty cool. The food was awesome.

The Dimsum is good. Be careful and **watch your bill** and when you are paying. The bill arrives with the tip included and when you pay you are prompted by the credit device to tip again!!! - The restaurant is aware of this and states its a standard feature on the Credit card machine.. if so.. why would they still choose to add the tip.. resulting in a 30% tip ...... seriously!!!??

Excellent service, food selection and quality. I love this restaurant experience Except for the bathrooms! In need of a good cleaning I know could be done in an hour.

First time here and I loooooooooved it!!! The most outstanding for my and my daughter was the service provided by our server Jason... just .... superior service. He gave us accurate recommendations and was always on top of our needs.If you go hungry and eat generously, I would recommend to go for the all you can eat option. For this option, you order from the ipad located at each table.If you don't eat a lot, you can go A La Carte, and still they have great affordable prices and the size of the rolls are standard.Tip: the dynamite roll is awesome as well as the deep fried house roll. 🍣Plenty of parking, nice location. Won't go wrong coming here for family or a date.

My mom, cousin and I went to August 8 last night for dinner. We were celebrating my cousin in advanced for her 32nd birthday. We did not have to wait long even though it was pretty packed since it was the weekend and dinner. Food was awesome. Server made sure we were okay and had water. I love the fish tacos! So I would definitely go here again. The lady at the front was kind to take our picture. Our bellies were stuffed so we went to the mall to "walk it off" lol

Not the best franchise location. Both the York Boulevard and Paramount locations in Hamilton are better. By no means is this place bad... orders just seem to go missing here more often than the other two locations.

I would give a 3.5 for the restaurant. On average the food quality matches the level of price. Despite a wide range of choices of dim sum, the taste is not as good as other dim sum restaurants. For example the shrimp dumplings have thick skins and quite few fillings, which are tasteless for me. Other foods are also not satisfying - the beef was dry, fried chicken is not seasoned evenly, etc. I do like the steamed beef stripe and fried banana though. And sushi is not bad for me. In general I would recommend going to a professional dim sum or sushi restaurant instead of this one, unless you really eat a lot.

My birthday is August 8, I called to make a reservation and asked if they would honor the promotion I have been getting for the last 6 years at the location in the same city, under the same name. Where I get a complimentary meal on my birthday. The person on the phone who called said "they are not doing the promotion this year". When I got off the phone I called the location at York blvd, and guess what? They will honor the promotion and my once a year tradition will continue. I will not ever visit this mountain location. Thanks, but no thanks.

Literally the best service I've ever had at ANY restaurant. The kitchen was very fast too. Food was better then all the other August 8's we've been to as well. We will definitely be going back, and to be totally honest unless we're out of the area this will be our go to from now on

We had a situation with the food 6months ago but after hearing of some changes we came back and are so happy with the service and the food!!! Staff are not fake friendly but genuinely real and polite. We are so happy to be back

We ordered delivery from here after hearing rave reviews. To be honest, not a great experience. It was edible, but not great. The butterfish maki was cold (which makes the rice super dry), the mango crab meat maki was also cold, the green dragon roll didn’t have shrimp all the way through it (just the ends) a lot of the rolls were also falling apart. So all in all a mediocre experience.

Went for a mid week dinner. Very good spot to relax and catch up. Pleasant service. Had a few unordered items dropped off at our table but no stress. Good food for a reasonable price.

Food is very tasty and fresh, however the managers seem a little uptight which brings on a bit of a tense atmosphere. I would recommend going to the paramount location instead. Also I would recommend going during lunchtime to avoid overpaying for the dinner menu which doesn’t offer that much more than the lunch menu.

Wide variety of food ranging from dum sum to sushi. All of it was tasty and hot.

Okay so I did it again. Couldn't get out of it! I know a lot of people love this place. Well, I am not one of them. It's not a dinner. Its feeding on small plates that are delivered to your table. I can't say I had a beef entree. I had a few pieces of beef, couple pieces of sushi, couple of this and some of that. I was happy to get home so i could eat something. Will add; food was not bad. Service was very good. I think they build the tip in their bill. Frankly, it's almost like going to costco on a weekend and tasting their different products.If you are going....good luck!

I've been here a number of times and always leave satisfied. There's plenty of menu options so there should be something for everyone. The inside of the restaurant also looks really nice.

When it gets busy, the wait-time gets longer and sometimes they may forget a dish from an order. It's okay, just either explain to a waiter or waitress, or you can reorder the food and see what happens.

The best all you can eat sushi around! Super trendy restaurant with a well put together staff, not to mention speedy service! The food is great! Well worth the price for the quality and selection that this place offers. We like that they serve both traditional and non-traditional sushi options.Something for everyone.

This was my first time at a restaurant since stage 3 started. We made a reservation for 7pm but had to go inside the busy entrance to check in. There was over 20 customers standing in the tight space all waiting for their reservations as well on top of the constant flow of delivery drivers. There was NO WAY to physical distance in that space. It made us feel uncomfortable and felt the restaurant should have a better system. The hostess should be outside the restaurant checking guests in and ensuring people are distancing while waiting. I don’t think I will come back to the restaurant right now unless they have a better system and don’t force people to wait in the tight space around others. Otherwise the food was good & the waitress was kind.

Always awesome. Really nice casual restaurant with great food and insanely fast service. It might as well be buffet with the speed at which they get you the food.

My experience is based on take out order during stage 2 of COVID 19. I do not recommend this place for a la carte or take out. The sushi is nothing special. It is clearly all you can eat quality grade fish. The rice was not sticky and fell apart. The avocado was mushy and brown. The sashimi seemed okay until the last bite when a friend bit into something crunchy, could it be sand? Overall, just average, glad it was edible. We ordered the August 8 cruise (106 pieces), dynamite roll and sashimi from the takeout menu for a party of six and the order was ready for pickup in 40 min. Ordering directly from their website was seamless and it even included a discount code.

Sept 2019Food can vary in quality on each visit. But usually somewhere between 3.5-4.5 stars for this price range. They have a large range dishes that are actually tasty and their dim sum is about as good as regular dim sums places. Atmosphere is casual enough for a lunch with your friends yet nice enough for a date. Service is usually great but don't order too much as they have a throwaway policy (like other AYCE places). Definitely recommend if you can afford it and want sushi/dim sum.

Hot and sour soup is delicious. Had a big feed of tempura shrimp as usual. Fast service and consistent. Ice cream is the best. Good value for the money.

Usually, sushi all you can eat place don't have many dim sum. If compere to the other restaurant, this is much better! And taste was great!!!

In Hamilton, i find that August 8 is some of the best AYCE sushi you can find. I ordered the tempura shrimp, dynamite roll, California roll, spicy California roll, salmon roll, spicy salmon roll, and the crispy roll. For dessert i got the tempura banana and put it in the vanilla icecream which made a delicious combo.The sushi is fresh, and came out quickly. The staff were very attentive. Now for the reason i removed one star. For some reason, the rolls were falling apart on their own, and would not stick together. I don't know why, but it was difficult to keep in one piece. Other than that it was great. I would come back.

If you are looking for fast service, good food, this is the place. Our server Vincent was very pleasant. Some others could be a bit friendlier and maybe smile once in a while.

Offering consistently great service, their regular choices and some new innovative ones. A very wide selection sure to please a wide range of diners.

We really enjoyed the place. It was, from a venue point of view, big and open with lots of booths, lovely decor, high ceiling beautifully constructed. While there were families - and overall lots of people for a Monday night - it was not loud. The serving staff was fast and efficient. One of the best tablet ordering systems I've experienced. You order it's delivered in moments. And what was delivered? Amazingly well prepared ... everything. Even my request for spicy mayo - it was excellent in flavor AND consistency. The ribs demonstrated a lot about the owners view of value: they were thicker than any competitor I have encountered and their taste and texture was superb ,- despite a bit more fat than I'm accustomed to. Overall A GREAT value for beautifully put together and tasty dishes.

Was there with family it was worth going. We all enjoyed going there.

Absolutely loved it! First time there highly recommended going with people who have been, many was super easy to navigate and had pictures of everything food was absolutely amazing and service was wonderful!
